Charles City senior Baili Girkin, who will continue her bowling career at Iowa Central Community College, placed third among individual girls with a two-game series of 439.

Several companies have proposed building multi-billion-dollar pipelines through Iowa to capture carbon dioxide from ethanol plants and other CO2 producers, liquify it and send it to be stored in underground geological formations in either North Dakota or Illinois for the other.
