Final ‘Party in the Park’ to feature Christmas theme, singer Jesse Allen

It will be “Christmas in July … in August” on Friday at the Party in the Party at Central Park in Charles City.

This is the final Party in the Park of the season, rescheduled from July 13, when the event was rained out. Residents can come to Central Park to enjoy country music artist and Marble Rock native Jesse Allen, who lists artists George Strait and Garth Brooks as inspiration for his music. Allen will stop by as part of his Midwest “I’m Stepping In” Tour 2018.

There will be free water games for kids, KCHA’s Christmas in July grand prize winner reveal, food vendors, the Pubcrawlers, and lots more to enjoy throughout the evening. Visitors are encouraged to dress in red, green, and everything in-between to celebrate a late-summer “holiday” under the trees with reindeer, Olaf, snow, and more.

Now in its 16th season, Party in the Park is a series of Friday night public gatherings in Central Park hosted by Community Revitalization. This week’s event is also hosted by Special Medical Services and Shankland Insurance.
