Press open house Thursday evening

The Charles City Press will hold an open house Thursday evening for people to tour the facility, see the printing press and discover the future of print and digital communication.

Free pizza and soft drinks will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Press offices, 801 Riverside Drive.

Included will be demonstrations and help downloading the Press augmented reality app for smartphones — CCPress AR — which melds print and digital information to add value for readers and advertising clients.
