Employees at the Charles Theatre on Main Street in Charles City were clad in protective masks and took other safety precautions the last two Friday nights as they sold popcorn to passers-by.

The theater is not showing movies for the time being, but is selling popcorn Friday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The theatre will not accept walk-up customers, but instead offers drive-up service, where passengers can pull up in front of the venue and have the popcorn delivered to their vehicle.
