No tokens this year at Charles City’s annual Fourth of July Celebration

To The Press

Buying food and drink at the Fourth of July celebration in Charles City will not require the use of special tokens in Central Park this year.

The Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will not use the token system for people to purchase items from vendors or activity providers in the park on Sunday, July 3, or Monday, July 4.

Individual vendors will be accepting cash or debit cards, and the public will not need to purchase special tokens as has been the case for a number of years now.

However, the Party in the Park event in Central Park on Friday, July 1, which is put on by Main Street Charles City and not the Chamber, will still be utilizing its usual token system.

Party in the Park tokens will not be accepted by vendors in the park for the Chamber-organized activities on July 3 or July 4. The special Party in the Park tokens will be accepted, though, at the final Party in the Park event on August 12.
