Alexander Nelson Huffman

Alexander Nelson Huffman, 36, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 from end stage liver disease.

Alex was born Oct. 20, 1983 in Charles City, IA, son of Bambi (Reinhardt) Teska of Charles City and Lon Huffman of Charles City. Alex attended school in Charles City and in the past had worked for the Charles City Press.

He is survived by his parents of Charles City, his best friend and brother Trentin Huffman who lovingly took care of Alex during his illness. Alex is also survived by his nephew (Trentin’s son) Jarrett Huffman who adored his “Uncle Alex” and Alex’s beloved cat Scooter.

Alex was a fan of Ford trucks and all makes but especially his Grandpa Albert’s 1999 Ford truck.

Alex is also survived by many aunts and uncles and cousins in the Charles City and Jesup, IA, areas.

When you think of Alex, celebrate the good memories you have of him and remember that life is fragile and should be lived to the fullest. Alex was an avid Raiders fan and enjoyed watching “his team” on a Sunday afternoon.

Alex was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Rudy and Wilma Reinhardt and paternal grandparents Albert and Wanda Huffman, all formerly of Charles City, and one aunt, Candice Ann Siems of Jesup.

A celebration of life will be held for Alex from 1-3 p.m. at Lions Field Park, Charles City, Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020. The family is asking for you to wear your casual attire and/or your favorite Raiders attire. Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City is in charge of the arrangements. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
