Christopher Michael Reams

Christopher Reams, 49, of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021.

A private family memorial service will be held at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home.

Christopher Michael Reams, the son of Robert and Diane (Woodworth) Reams, was born on March 2, 1972 in Floyd County, Iowa. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1990. He then continued his education at Luther College in Decorah then went on to study law at Drake University in Des Moines and finally received his Computer Science degree from the University of Minnesota. Christopher was united in marriage to Colleen McLaughlin on June 4, 2011 in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Christopher enjoyed spending his time playing pool, tennis, basketball, and hiking.

Living family members include his parents, Bob and Diane Reams of Charles City; son, Colin Reams; siblings: Renae (Dave) Reams of Osage, Bob (Heidi) Reams of Rockford, and Mitch (Sarah) Reams of Saukville, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews: Shawna and Kayla, Justin, Emily and Amber, and Lydia, Jonathan, and Dominic; mother-in-law, Barbara McLaughlin; and brothers-in-law, Kurt and Chris McLaughlin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen and father-in-law, Bob McLaughlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities (Down Syndrome Achievement Center) or Ruby’s Rainbow (Scholarships for Adults with Down Syndrome).
