LETTER: Schwickerath is an effective county supervisor
By Larry L. Hicok, Rockford
As a former member of the Floyd County Conservation Board, I have had the opportunity to work with Roy Schwickerath during his first term as a Floyd County Supervisor. Roy attended board meetings as a liaison between the Board of Supervisors and the Floyd County Conservation Board.
The trait I most admired in Roy was his insistence on having all the factual information necessary to keep the other supervisors informed and prepared in the event Board of Supervisors input or a decision was necessary following a Conservation Board meeting. I believe Roy has learned how to be an effective supervisor during his first term as a supervisor. I will cast my vote for Roy to use what he has learned by serving a second term and I hope you will consider doing the same.
