Winter weather postponements

It didn’t take long for winter weather to spoil the plans for prep sport evenings. With snow, rain and ice in the forecast last night, area schools decided to postpone evening games.

It was likely the first of more postponements and cancellations to come.

CHARLES CITY

The girls’ varsity basketball team was slated to travel to Garner-Hayfield, Ventura last night. That match has been rescheduled for Dec. 3, at Charles City, tipping off at 7:30 p.m.

NORTH BUTLER

The boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were supposed to head to Aplington-Parkersburg last night. Those two schools will play on Jan. 28 at 6:15 p.m.

(girls) and 7:30 p.m. (boys).

RRMR

The boys’ and girls’ varsity game against Clarksville that was supposed to happen last night has yet to be rescheduled.
