Foster named to All-State volleyball team
Charles City senior Katie Foster (No. 2) led the Comets in multiple categories after recovering from offseason knee surgery.

Charles City senior Katie Foster has been named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 4A All-State Volleyball Second-Team.
Coming off knee surgery, Foster led the Comets in kills (286), digs (508) and successful serves (459) while helping Charles City advance to the third State Volleyball Tournament during her four-year career.
Foster is the daughter of Comet head volleyball coach Sue Hoefer.
Foster is also a state-qualifying track athlete who placed second in the 100-meter dash at state as a sophomore.
