Lady Bearcats hold off Lake Mills, 39-36

GREENE — Morgan Arjes had 12 points and Nicole Heeren scored 10 as North Butler’s girls basketball team was able to hold off Lake Mills in the final minute of a tight game to win 39-36 in non-conference action on Friday night.

The win improved the Lady Bearcats’ record to 6-7.

Jewell Gasteiger had a game-high 14 points for Lake Mills.

Lake Mills won the subsequent boys game of the varsity doubleheader, 64-47, behind a game-high 20 points from Jacob Langenbau.

Dylan Clipperton had 14 points, Rhett Lammers scored 13 and Kendrick Miller added 10 for the Bearcats (3-9).
