Big inning helps advance Comets to baseball substate final
Charles City freshman JJ Ritter puts down a bunt which went for an infield single, loading the bases with no outs in the fifth inning, where the Comets eventually rallied for 8 runs on way defeating Center Point-Urbana, 13-3 in six innings in the Class 3A Substate 3 semifinals on Friday. Charles City advances to the finals, 7 p.m. Monday at Wartburg College’s Hertel Field.
