LETTER: Tjaden for Floyd County supervisor

In the upcoming election, the citizens of Floyd County have the opportunity to vote for a supervisor candidate who is committed to quality, very qualified, and willing to work hard — No-willing to work very hard —  to manage the needs of the county.

Electing Linda Tjaden to this position assures that we have a diverse and comprehensive overview of the county allowing individual decisions in the citizens’ best interests. With a background as both a business person and as a farmer, Linda has a unique skill set that is exactly what this county needs to move forward.

There will be multiple challenges in the coming years and the county will need skilled managers who consider multiple viewpoints prior to making decisions. It requires someone who considers what is right for multiple and varied constituents. Linda is not a “yes” person but a person who gathers as much information as possible and then studies the option prior to making an informed decision. She is always willing to discuss her rationale and share information she has.

Linda will make a great representative for a progressive county willing to consider positive changes. We can’t just settle for the status quo. We need a great board dedicated to guiding Floyd County into the future and Linda deserves to be a member of that team.

Linda and I worked together on a mission trip and I was amazed at her work ethic and common sense in dealing with others. Please review the facts and join me in supporting and voting for Linda Tjaden for the Floyd County Board of Supervisors!
